What Would a Ninja Do?

What Would a Ninja Do?

For Xander's 6th birthday party, we had a "Ninja" themed party. Most of his kindergarten class and a few neighbors were in attendance, so we had about *twenty* 6 year olds running around in our backyard.

We played "Pin the Throwing Star on the Ninja", tried to hit a balloon ninja with a bamboo sword, and ran around with ninja masks on. Tina even read the exciting details of what ninjas do from the inside of my folder. Xander wanted a frosted brownie for a cake, so that's what he got. We served turkey hot dogs and "the blood of your enemies" (aka Cherry Kool-Aid).

All in all, we had a great time, even though it was quite exhausting.

Happy Birthday Xander

Rohit and Ranjamma with Xander

Ranjamma and Rohit Mamman came down from Chicago on their Spring Break to celebrate Xander's birthday with us. We made homemade S'more cookies to distribute to Xander's kindergarten class and delivered them to his class in person just after lunch.

For dinner we went to Tokyo Teppan because Xander said he wanted Sushi. But he was so hungry he gorged himself on Ranjamma's potstickers before the sushi got there, so he didn't eat his rolls (we took them home).

Then we came home and had lemon sorbet instead of cake and opened presents. He was especially excited about the present he really wanted: an MP3 player with all the Guitar Hero III songs on it (courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa).

Good Friday with the boyz

Good Friday with the boyz

Since AISD has Good Friday off, Bheesh took the boys downtown to walk around Town Lake. The trip started at One Congress Plaza, and ended with lunch at Rudy's BBQ. See the Flickr photostream for more pictures.

BTW, we took these pictures with our new Nikon D40X.
