Pumpkin carving

We had some yummy stew and no knead bread and Suzanne gave us a personal tour of her front yard garden.

Saturday we baked the two sugar pumpkins the boys got at the pumpkin patch, scooped out the flesh into the food processor and made 6 cups of pumpkin puree. I froze four cups and made a pumpkin pie with the last two cups. We used a recipe that called for 1/2 and 1/2 and eggs and no evaporated milk, so it was very much like a pumpkin custard. It was very good.
